BLACKPINK’s promotion is about to end and they’ve proven to be the ‘group that made this summer hot’.
BLACKPINK’s title track ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ from the first mini-album ‘SQUARE UP’ has ranked 1st for the month of July on 5 music site monthly charts: Melon, Olleh Music, Genie, Soribada and Monkey3 Music.
Among the artists who made a comeback from June to July, BLACKPINK is the one who got the most impressive scores.
The group has evidently showed their colors through their music even on music sites for various genre. Through ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, BLACKPINK was able to take things to a newer level by trying out a more powerful concept while receiving love from music fans.
BLACKPINK had been on the no. 1 spot for 30 consecutive days on Melon’s daily chart. On February last year after the chart system changed, they set a record of topping the charts in the longest period of time.
Not only on the daily charts but they ranked 1st for 4 consecutive weeks on Melon, Bugs, Genie weekly charts. After their comeback on the 15th of June, they slowly swept the music charts and took the 1st spot.
BLACKPINK is set to end their ‘SQUARE UP’ promotions on MBC’s Music Core on the 4th and SBS’s Inkigayo on the 5th.
