BLACKPINK’s Lisa has officially set a record on YouTube!
On September 10 at 1 p.m. KST, Lisa made her long-awaited solo debut with her first single album “LALISA” and its title track of the same name. 24 hours later, the music video had amassed over 70 million views and was waiting for YouTube’s confirmation as YouTube’s official view count is often different from view counts that are measured in real time.
In the official tally revealed by YouTube on September 13 local time, the music video for Lisa’s title track “Lalisa” recorded 73.6 million views during the 24-hour period following its release.
This is a new global record for the most amount of views in 24 hours for a solo artist, breaking the previous record set by Taylor Swift’s 2019 hit “ME!” with 65.2 million views. Including group records, Lisa’s achievement places her in sixth place overall, and among female artists, only BLACKPINK’s record comes before hers.
“Lalisa” is a hip hop track with a bold brass riff and dynamic rhythm composed by 24, Bekuh BOOM, and Teddy. With the title referring to Lisa’s birth name, the song expresses the power of a name.

Gaon has released its chart rankings for the week of September 5 to September 11.
Lisa’s solo debut album, “LALISA,” topped Gaon’s album chart for the week of September 5 to 11. The “Kit” version of “LALISA” also ranked No. 4 on the same chart.
“LALISA” has also debuted at No. 90, No. 4 and No. 156 on Digital, Download and Streaming Charts, respectively.
Meanwhile “MONEY” entered the Digital Chart at No. 43.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa Breaks 1st-Week Album Sales Record Among Female Artists + Becomes 1st Solo Female Half-Million Seller
Lisa has smashed yet another record with her first solo album!
Lisa recorded 330,129 initial albums sold on the day of release, which saw a rise of 88,356 copies on the fourth day, reaching a day 4 total of over 420,000 albums. On the last day of the week (which was from September 10 to 16), nearly 250,000 albums were sold for a grand first-week total of 736,221.
This makes Lisa the first female solo artist to became a half-million seller for first-week album sales, for which Hanteo Chart announced they will “issue a Gold Certificate that indicates Initial Chodong [first week of release] sales amount of more than 500,000 copies.”
Lisa’s total breaks the record for first-week album sales record among all female artists and also marks the 15th highest first-week album sales in Hanteo history. Among female artists, the top three spots are now held by Lisa, BLACKPINK, and Rosé, demonstrating the group’s popularity.
